To assure preparation of gas, either for supply to the main pipeline or use as fuel gas, integrated gas treatment plants are employed. Our company offers services connected with the design and completion of gas treatment installations.
At oil and gas production facilities gas treatment consists of the following main stages:
- absorption or adsorption dehydration;
- low-temperature separation;
- membrane gas separation;
- amine, alkali cleaning of acidic impurities from gas.
The following form part of a gas treatment plant:
- Preliminary treatment (separation) unit. This unit assures efficient removal of condensed moisture, liquid hydrocarbons and mechanical impurities from gas.
- Gas cleaning, drying and cooling installations. This package is the most important at an integrated gas treatment facility as it assures treatment of gas to required characteristics. The equipment forming part of these installations may be diverse depending on the technological process employed at the facility. As a rule, this package consists of absorbers, adsorbers, filtration equipment, heating surfaces, circulation pump units, membrane separators, etc.
- Booster compressor stations. In certain cases, the parameters of gas do not correspond to the requirements of field gas processing technology or gas needs to be supplied to the main pipeline after treatment. For this purpose, booster compressor stations ensuring maintenance of required gas pressure are employed. The booster compressor stations are placed upstream or downstream of the process gas treatment plants. To allow temperature of compressed gas to be decreased downstream of the booster compressor station air cooler units are installed.
- Auxiliary systems for use in the production processes (control room, communication facilities, electric power, heat, water supply installations, electrochemical protection, fire-fighting systems, tank farms, etc.).
